The new school
The new elementary school will consist of 6 classrooms, a teachers’ room, toilets and facilities for water and electricity. For the final building plans click here.
Everyone helps
Naturally, the project is fully supported by the local village and tribal elders. The land designated for the school has been provided and made ready for construction by the community.
The architect who developed the drawing with the contractor and the local community came from the Director of Education. He will also provide the teaching staff and the necessary school materials.
You too?
The project was made possible by Het Groene Land Foundation, Alder Tree Foundation and Wild Geese Foundation. With their contributions, the vast majority of the required budget of around €160,000 has been covered. For a small part (around €10,000) we are still looking for donors.
Will you help enable the children of Mzuri to go to school? Any amount is welcome. For more information click here.
And meanwhile in Bang’a and Kasemeni
In February of this year, we paid another extensive visit to our projects in Bang’a and Kasemeni. The visit report, which includes an update on the status of each project, can be found here.
