In Kasemeni and surrounging, healthcare facilities are absent. The nearest healthcare facility is one day walking away. During 2019 eight people died because of maternity problems, typhoid, malaria and a snake bite. Unacceptabel. For Kasemeni and surrounding villages (in total 7500 people from 7 different tribes), this likely means about 75 unnecessary death cases if healthcare would have been nearby. That is why we, together with key representatives of the involved villages, aim to build a healthcare facility. The government will take care of staffing (a doctor and a nurse), medicine and healthcare materials, including a pharmacy. Indicative costs for this project are € 85.000.
