Inadequate amenities

Among the large numbers of students at school, there is a special group of children who are even more vulnerable than their schoolmates. Currently, seventy toddlers attend Banga Primary School every day to play and learn how to interact with children their age. These children still play with their older schoolmates during breaks and after school. Despite best intentions and kind care of their caregivers and their older schoolmates, schooltime is often still hard for these young children.

A safe place to play

It is the desire of the Bang’a Primary School board to provide the youngest students with their own place where they can play and learn in safety. This is beneficial for the safety of the children and makes it easier for their caregivers to supervise the children during recess. Finally, the construction of this playground ensures that the older students no longer have to take responsibility for their younger schoolmates. This allows them to focus on their own play and development.

Support the children, support the Saidia Kwale Foundation

The new toddler playground is a low, fenced-off part of the school grounds where proper playground equipment will be placed. The playground equipment must be sturdy and easy to maintain. There will also be rubber tiles placed to make the playground as safe as possible. An estimated amount of € 2000 is needed to realize the playground. The Saidia Kwale Foundation spends this amount on the purchase of the playground equipment, as well as the construction by local workers. Do you also help improve the care of the youngest students of Bang’a Primary School?
