Update 2024

he Neema Women Group and the Mangongoni Women Group stopped farming their chickens after selling their
chickens stopped their chicken farming activities, as they feel they have insufficient skills for
these activities. After an intensive discussion, in late 2023 we decided to support the two
times five families in a way that suits them better and to buy goats for them
buy. Goats are, much better
than chickens, resistant to prolonged periods of drought and little food. Also, the
required care is less intensive.

The Riziki Women Group switched from broilers to laying hens. We have
helped extend the coop with an outdoor run (roofed for protection
against birds of prey) and feed.
